alcedoXTS is a limited liability partnership (LLP) incorporated in the United Kingdom.  It was established as a consultancy by Dr Natalie Gilka and Prof. Peter R. Taylor.  Between them these principals have more than fifty years experience in high-end computing and computational and theoretical science. 

 

Both have PhDs in theoretical chemistry.  Prof. Taylor has been involved with “supercomputers” since the CDC 6600 and CDC 7600 in the 1970s, and has been through the transitions to vector computing and then parallel computing.  He has acted as a consultant to government agencies in the US, UK, and Australia in the area of high-end systems acquisition and configuration, simultaneously continuing to pursue research, usually externally funded, in theoretical chemistry and chemical physics.  Dr Gilka has more than a decade of experience in the application of high-end computing in chemistry and biology, as well as computational methods development and experience in mathematical physics.
